I began to craft suits because of how difficult I found it was looking for a quality bespoke suit for my wedding at a price that wouldn’t break the bank.
High Street Suits
I first had a look at suits from High street stores, who were charging £300-£700 for mediocre suits. Not only that, but you had to spend an additional £100 just to get it altered to fit!
Almost 99% of high street suits are fused suits. This means the lining is glued to the jackets’ shell.
The problem with this is after wearing it a few times, you’ll notice the suit start to lose its’ shape and also begin to bubble.
All the suits we make are either half canvas or full canvas. This means there’s a canvas between the lining and the jackets’ outer shell.
We do this as it makes your suit last longer, makes it beautifully drape over your chest and makes it comfortable; more so than a fused suit!
Savile Row Suits
I then had a look at bespoke suits. A tailor-made suit from Saville Row starts at £3000. And that’s just the price of their lowest quality material. Prices can go all the way up to £10k for a suit with high-grade material.
At the end, I did find a tailor to make me a suit, but it had me thinking… There must be people out there who are struggling to purchase a good suit because of how much money went into their wedding… Or maybe they want to use that extra money on their honeymoon, and so decide to compromise on a cheaper suit… Or perhaps you’re just starting a new job and want to make a good first impression.
And a well-fitted suit can do that for you. People are visual animals, and how you dress evokes a certain psychological response. Within the first 10 seconds, people will make up their minds about you.
After working with some of the highest skilled tailors in the field and with some of the most premium fabrics in the industry, we are able to produce beautifully crafted bespoke suits designed exactly how you want it.
And the reason why we’re able to construct such bespoke suits at such affordable prices is because we go directly to the source and don’t have to pay for much of the overhead costs a lot of tailors pay such as rent.
